If the ear speaker stops working properly, you may not hear callers clearly, or you may have to switch to speakerphone every tim

Muffled or distorted voice.
This usually happens due to moisture, dirt, or a poorly placed screen protector or case blocking the earpiece opening.
No sound during calls
The phone may be stuck in headphone mode, connected to a Bluetooth device, or the speaker may be damaged.
Crackling noise
Often caused by water exposure, a drop, or an aging speaker component.
Sound works on speakerphone only

How to Fix Ear Speaker Problems
Method 1: Clean the Speaker Grill
Gently clean the earpiece opening with a soft, dry brush or a clean, dry toothbrush. Brush lightly in one direction. Do not push anything sharp into the hole.
Method 2: Remove the Case and Screen Protector
Some cases and screen protectors cover or partly block the earpiece. Remove them and test again.
Method 3: Check Volume and Call Settings
Raise the call volume during a call using the volume buttons. Also make sure the phone is not in silent mode, Do Not Disturb, or connected to a Bluetooth device.
Method 4: Disconnect Bluetooth and Headphones
If your phone is paired with wireless earbuds or a car system, call audio may be going there instead of the earpiece.
Method 5: Restart Your Phone
A simple restart can fix temporary software glitches that stop the earpiece from working.
Method 6: Update Your Phone Software
Old or buggy software can cause audio problems. Install the latest system update, then test again.
Method 7: Use a Speaker Cleaning Sound
If dust or water is stuck inside the speaker, a speaker cleaner tool that plays a low-frequency sound can help push out debris and moisture.
Method 8: Visit a Repair Technician
If none of the steps work, the speaker may be physically damaged. A technician can check and replace the part.
